  1. What does an eye clinic involve?
    During a routine vision examination, a history of health, medications and family eye problems is taken. 

    Ophthalmoscopy is routine for retinal disease detection such as Macular Degeneration

    Intra-ocular pressures are measured by tonometry as a screen for Glaucoma. 

    Clearness of vision is measured along with focusing ability and refraction both objectively and subjectively. 

    We refer visually impaired patients for further vision rehabilitation assessments if necessary. 

    After patients are seen by us, we routinely provide reports to their doctors, aged care facilities and allied health professionals. 


  2. How much does it cost?

    The fee for consultations is generally rebatable from Medicare Australia, however there are extra costs for additional services. 

  3. When will the glasses be ready?

    It usually takes 1-3 weeks depending on the prescription. The glasses will be delivered to you by courier. 

  4. What is your warranty policy?

    We offer a complimentary 12 month standard warranty on frames against manufacturing defects, and a 3 month warranty on lenses against non adaptation. 

  5. How do you protect privacy?

    We treat each individual's privacy seriously. Residents' information is used solely for administration purposes and to comply with Privacy Act, Medicare and Health Insurance requirements.
